Bill is the author of the just released book, For Those in Dry Places: Hope for Ministers in the Wilderness. Dr. Mark T. Barclay writes, “I highly recommend For Those in Dry Places which comes to us in absolutely supreme timing. Many pastors today are going through dry, tough times and can hardly see light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Phares addresses what to do when you are in this position—how to deal with your thoughts and what to do, day after day, to get out of your current difficult situation and stay out.”

Bill and his wife, Laura, live in Helena, Alabama.

  2. Dr. Bill,
Great blog and web site. I want to offer my Lake House for a weekend retreat when you get a group of ministers together. It is a great place for teaching and prayer ministry. Plus, pastors will feel more comfortable in a private setting. I look forward to your next blog.

    Hi Vicki,
Many thanks for your words of edification! Yes, your Lake House will be the perfect spot for ministers seeking a time apart for restoration and encouragment. I will work on this in the near future. Today, I received the proof for the new book. The cover is great. Thanks again!
    Blessings,
    Bill

Dr. Phares – thank you for the copy of “For Those in Dry Places”. On reading through the book I find myself very much in agreement with your theological perspectives, including those on spiritual warfare and demonic influences. Interesting . . . . since we are both United Methodists!

    Blessings,
    Richard M. Thomas

    • Hi David,

So sorry for the delay in returning a reply to you. I have had some recent changes in my place of ministry and I am getting everything in order now. I trust this finds you doing well in our beloved Israel.

I am no longer on the staff at Riverchase UMC but am now in full time evangelism and missions ministry. My organization is called Stir the Fire Ministry. My wife, Laura, and I will be going to Zambia the end of September for two weeks.

It would be a privilege to me if you would share this blog site and my book, For Those in Dry Places, with those you think would be interested. I also hope to work with you again. I am going to bring a small group to Israel in November 2014.

May the LORD bless you and keep you!
      Bill
